Project Background
With the continuous population growth in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, the domestic sewage discharge has increased sharply. The original sewage treatment facilities are overwhelmed, and a large amount of domestic sewage that has not been effectively treated is directly discharged, causing serious pollution to the surrounding rivers and groundwater. Problems such as black and odorous water bodies and ecological damage have become prominent. There is an urgent need to build an efficient sewage treatment system to improve the current situation.
Pump Solution,Equipment Selection: In view of the characteristic that domestic sewage contains a large amount of impurities, the WQ series submersible sewage pumps produced by our company are selected. This series of pumps adopts a large – flow – passage anti – clogging hydraulic component design, which can effectively pass through large solid particles. The maximum diameter of the passed particles can reach 50mm, avoiding blockages caused by debris such as plastic bags and tissues in the sewage. The supporting power range is wide, ranging from 1.5kW to 75kW, which can meet the sewage lifting needs of different scales.
System Configuration: In the sewage lifting pump station, a total of 8 WQ series submersible sewage pumps are installed, with 6 in operation and 2 in reserve. An intelligent control system is adopted, which automatically adjusts the number of operating pumps and their rotational speeds according to the liquid level in the sewage tank to achieve energy – saving operation. In the sewage treatment process, the ISG series vertical pipeline pumps produced by our company are used for chemical dosing and sewage transportation. This pump has the characteristics of stable operation and low noise, ensuring the uniform mixing of chemicals and the efficient transportation of sewage.
Treatment Effect After: the project was put into operation, the sewage treatment capacity reached 30,000 tons per day. The effluent quality met the Vietnamese national domestic sewage discharge standard (TCVN 6001 – 2014). The COD removal rate was over 85%, and the ammonia – nitrogen removal rate was over 80%. The WQ series submersible sewage pumps operated stably, and the clogging frequency was reduced by 70% compared with similar products. The ISG series vertical pipeline pumps ensured the accurate dosing of chemicals, significantly improving the sewage treatment efficiency. The water quality of the surrounding rivers has been significantly improved, and the black and odorous phenomenon has basically been eliminated.
Project Highlights,Targeted Product Design: The anti – clogging design of the WQ series submersible sewage pumps and the stable transportation performance of the ISG series vertical pipeline pumps perfectly meet the needs of domestic sewage treatment and ensure the stable operation of the system.
Intelligent Control for Energy Conservation: The intelligent control system of the pumps enables operation on – demand, reducing energy consumption costs. It saves about 20% of electricity costs annually, contributing to the green and sustainable development of the project.
